Jane Zhang

Team Leader
University of Washintong

I am a first-year student at the University of Washington. I plan to major in Microbiology and minor in Public Health or Music, with the intent of attending medical school. My motivation for starting a VAW Global Health chapter stems from my newfound curiosity about the determinants of health and lifestyle outside my community and experiences.

I am excited to engage in Guatemala’s rich culture, as well as further my passions and knowledge of the area with my team. I strongly believe that this experience fosters a more holistic outlook of the world, no matter what one’s topic of interest is.
